Rant: Vegetarians

I'm not targeting you specifically.

I understand some people are simply followers, and some are leaders. I completely understand and accept this. But for those of you that are following this new 'fad' of becoming a vegetarian because it's considered "cool", I am highly disappointed and disgusted.

This is not because I am not a vegetarian. I don't disagree with it's tradition, beliefs, and anything else inside the term - but the fact that people are calling themselves by this is absolutely absurd. "Wanna-be Vegetarians" as I call them, don't deserve the title. If you don't believe in the thing, DON'T ADDRESS YOURSELF AS IT.

I have done research on this following, so I know what standards there are. So there can't be an excuse for you. I know that there are plenty of ways to get most of the necessary nutrients and vitamins, but humans were meant to have a variety. I agree, some of the methods of collecting these products is a little disturbing; but if you don't truely believe in vegetarianism, don't starve yourself of these food groups unless you're completely prepared.
Think of it this way; you know those cliche diets that are always shown in the media? Those ones you start immediately, cold turkey? They don't work. And in that same way, neither does this.

Your body needs to be slowly eased into things like this that can affect the way it works.
